Why must we always try to find ways to get more and more cars into things in Edmonton?
Also, this quote stands out because there have been a few attempts from the City to widen Gateway Boulevard through Old Strathcona, and I guess they just won’t stop trying.
Because, Jeff, cars move all of those people who don’t want to take transit because their cars are so much more convenient than the transit system which is underfunded due to a lack of interest by car-owners.
You’re right. I should really just buy a car and stop complaining about the state of transit (and bicycling and walking) in our city.
Then I can complain about potholes. 🙂
Exactly. Of course, roads are the infrastructure of the past. We should be working on sky-ways. After all, this is the future and, in the future, we don’t need roads.
